UPDATE: Longtime industry executive Scott Cohen dies

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 5, 2012

PHILADELPHIA - Scott Cohen, a longtime sales and marketing executive in the furniture industry, died Jan. 3 following a long battle with cancer. He was 51.

At the time of his death, Cohen was vice president of sales with importer Monarch Specialties, which he joined in July.

He worked for importer Coaster from 2004 to 2011, first as eastern regional vice president of sales and later as executive vice president of sales. Earlier, he worked for Home Line Inds., a Philadelphia-based importer and distributor that recently ceased operations.

Services will be held Friday at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael-Sacks suburban north chapel in Southampton, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, 4600 Devitt Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246.
