Bognar leaves Simmons Canada

BRAMPTON, Ontario - Paul Bognar has resigned as president of bedding major Simmons Canada and is set to join restaurant operator SIR Corp. as executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective Jan. 3.
     Bognar was named president of Simmons Canada in February 2007, four months after it was reacquired by Atlanta-based Simmons Co., the brand's owners in the United States. He succeeded Terry Pace.
     SIR Corp. operates a number of branded restaurants including Jack Astor's Bar and Grill, Alice Fazooli's and Canyon Creek Chop House.
     As of last week, Simmons had not announced a successor for Bognar.
