Richmond retailer LaDifference closing satellite store

RICHMOND, Va. — Contemporary home furnishings retailer LaDifference is closing a second satellite store it opened here a year ago, the website Richmond BizSense reported.
Co-owner Andy Thornton said the company will liquidate its 7,000-square-foot store in the Short Pump section of Richmond and refocus its efforts on its main downtown location. He cited lack of foot traffic and business for the closing.
Thornton said consumers were choosing to shop at the main LaDifference rather than at the store that's closing because it is six times larger and offers a bigger assortment of merchandise.
