Lincolnton Furniture to be profiled on NBC news show

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Case goods startup Lincolnton Furniture, whose top executive is part of a family that has manufactured furniture in the region dating back to the early 1900s, will be profiled on an NBC show Monday.
The profile will air at 10 p.m. Jan. 16 on NBC news program "Rock Center with Brian Williams."
Lincolnton Furniture produces a line of solid wood bedroom and casual dining in a former Cochrane case goods plant in this North Carolina cityi. Its president is Bruce Cochrane, the former head of Cochrane Furniture, whose family began producing furniture in the area in 1905.
The company said on its website that it will begin shipping finished goods this month.
On Wednesday, Lincolnton Furniture CEO Bruce Cochrane was part of a group of business people who met with President Obama as part of a forum event called "Insourcing American Jobs," focusing on what companies can do to keep jobs in the United States.
