Furniture source Dorya moving U.S. headquarters to Miami
Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, January 12, 2012
PALM BEACH, Fla. — High end case goods and upholstery manufacturer Dorya is moving its U.S. headquarters from here to Miami, the company said. It will also maintain its year-round 6,000-square-foot showroom in the 200 Steele building in High Point.
The company said its new corporate office at 501 Brickell Key Drive, Suite 503, Miami, will be positioned for easy global access and will showcase Dorya products, fabrics, finishes and catalogs to designers.
"We are in the midst of category growth, and felt the timing of the move was perfect as we expand our portfolio," said Megan Perry, the creative director who with her husband, CEO Doruk Yorgancioglu, heads Dorya USA. Dorya recently introduced mirrors to its brand lineup and is scheduled to add rugs and lighting this year.
Dorya was introduced to the U.S. market with a launch party given by Architectural Digest during the April 2010 High Point Market. The company, which distributes in 16 countries, has 200 employees and a production facility in Turkey.
