Stanley Moussa, importing pioneer

MoussaMoussaDALLAS - Industry veteran Stanley Moussa died Dec. 26 after suffering a stroke on Christmas Eve here. He was 85.
     Moussa was the founder of importexport companies Best Imports in 1960 and Best Designs and American Furnishings in 1987. Best Imports was one of the first home furnishings tenants of the Dallas Trade Mart and of the expanded World Trade Center after its opening in 1974.
     His son Mark Moussa is president and founder of Arteriors Home and son George Moussa is founder and president of Ambella Home.
     Stanley Moussa was known in the industry as one of the first importers of European-style antique reproductions and accessories during the late 1950s. He was a native of Egypt who moved to the United States at age 19.
     He is survived by three other children and 13 grandchildren.
     The family requests donations to Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas in his memory.
