TOMS RIVER, N.J. - Anton "Tony" Homsey Jr., a longtime sales representative, has died at age 84.
After serving in the Marines during World War II and working as a weaver in silk mills, Homsey began a career as a manufacturer's sales representative for companies including Symbol Mattress, Burlington Inds., Braxton Culler and Yugo Woods.
Homsey was an active member of the Metropolitan Furniture Assn., serving on the board and as chairman. Although he was retired, Homsey continued to attend MFA events until this past August. He was also a member of the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn. and was a recipient of the Dean of IHFRA award.
Survivors include his wife, brother and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
