LOUISEVILLE, Quebec — Solid wood custom dining manufacturer Canadel has promoted Howard Cohen and Jeffrey Velick to executive positions at the company.
Cohen was named director of sales and will lead the company's sales force of more than 20 regional representatives. He also will be responsible for creating and executing sales strategies.
Velick was named to the newly created post director of merchandising and will focus on product development, merchandising, advertising and promotions.
Both have been Canadel sales representatives and have participated in strategic planning, marketing and product development.
They both report to Michel Deveault, president and chief operating officer.
"The effort is collaborative, the vision is clear and both Howard and Jeff bring strength, knowledge, determination and the ability to execute," Deveault said in a press release. "We are committed to providing our valued retailers the best products and the most efficient service in the industry, and Howard and Jeffrey will be instrumental in making sure that this objective is accomplished."
Canadel also noted that the company will open new High Point Market showroom on the first floor of the National Furniture Mart at the April market. The space was previously occupied by Ligo.
Bob Kelly, who was president of sales, is no longer with the company, a company official said.
