Omnia Furniture ends relationship with Kathy Ireland Worldwide
Will introduce new brand image at Las Vegas Market
Larry Thomas -- Furniture Today, January 26, 2012
CHINO, Calif. — Leather upholstery resource Omnia Furniture has ended its relationship with Kathy Ireland Worldwide and will no longer manufacture or market products under the Ireland name.
Omnia president Peter Zolferino said his company has had "great success" with the Ireland products since the licensing agreement was inked in 2007, but decided not to renew the pact.
"I wish Kathy and her team continued success," Zolferino said.
He said his company will continue to support Kathy Ireland Home by Omnia products that have been sold or are currently on retail sales floors.
"Peter and the Omnia team are wonderful people who manufacture beautiful products," Ireland said in a statement released by Omnia. "Our friendship and mutual respect continues for this fine company and its brilliant leader."
At the upcoming Las Vegas Market, Zolferino said Omnia will unveil a new brand image and merchandising effort under the slogan "Personalizing Comfort."
