Heath E. Combs -- Furniture Today, February 14, 2012
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Viewpoint Studios' executive and warehouse offices here were closed and the parking lots were vacant Monday, but the furniture photography company's owner and president declined to comment on its status.
Larry Pritchett, owner and president of Viewpoint Studios, took a reporter's call from the offices of Albion Associates, another photography studio in neighboring High Point.
He said that Viewpoint had not been sold to Albion, but was unclear about his status at Albion.
As recently as Feb. 1, Albion vans were parked outside of Viewpoint's Greensboro offices. Pritchett did not returns calls to his Viewpoint Studios office number.
When Furniture/Today wrote about Viewpoint in August, the company reported having recently added an 83,000-square-foot facility at 4300 Federal Drive. Those offices were also closed on Monday.
The company said then that its executive offices and warehousing would remain at 4328 Federal Drive.
In August, Viewpoint said that its client list included Ashley Furniture, La-Z-Boy, Lowe's Home Improvement, Carolina Business Furniture, OFS, MasterBrands Cabinets, Mohawk Home and Sferra Bros.
