TSG Finishing consolidating work to North Carolina plants
Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, March 7, 2012
NORTH WALES, Pa. — TSG Finishing, which treats fabrics in a number of industries including decorative home furnishings, said it is consolidating its commission finishing operations to four plants in North Carolina, beginning this week.
The consolidation is scheduled for completion by the end of summer. Over the next few months, customers will stop shipping fabric to the facility here and will start shipping it to the company's plants in Hickory, N.C., where everything will be consolidated. TSG corporate offices will continue to be located in North Wales.
The company said the work will not interrupt service to its customers.
One of the largest commission fabric finishers in the U.S., TSG does business through four operating plants: Synthetics Finishing, Synfin Inds., Combeau Inds. and Longview Machinery.
Jeffrey S. Goldman, president and chief operating officer, said the consolidation will allow the company to utilize its assets and technology over a broader customer base, and to serve a wider variety of industries more efficiently because its plants will be located in closer proximity to each other.
