Standard Furniture promotes Sean Ros to VP, hires John Beard

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Sean Ros has been promoted to vice president of marketing at case goods manufacturer and importer Standard Furniture.

Ros joined Standard in 2010 as marketing director. Prior to joining the company he was national director of sales and marketing for Denver-based ePayments Corp. and earlier had handled national accounts for various ad agencies.

He reports to Standard Furniture President Todd Evans. Ros now oversees all marketing, sales support, and internal and external communication.

Also, the company has hired John Beard in the new position of Southeast sales manager. Beard most recently was with upholstery source Franklin as a regional sales representative, managing major accounts in the Houston, Chicago, Milwaukee and Indianapolis territories.

He reports to Tim Ussery, vice president of sales/corporate accounts.

Standard will show at next week's High Point Premarket, March 19-20, in its space in the International Home Furnishings Center, C-700.
