55 exhibitors opening doors for High Point Premarket

HIGH POINT - At least 55 exhibitors will open their doors for next week's High Point Premarket.
     And buyer registration for the March 19-20 event is up 9% from the record turnout at the last Premarket in September, with 116 retailers signed up to date, organizers said last week.
     "The response for the spring Premarket has been fantastic," said Kevin O'Connor, chairman of the High Point Market Premarket Committee and CEO of Samson Marketing.
     Organizers report that 24 exhibitors and two building owners are sponsoring the spring event. A number of non-sponsoring exhibitors also have told Furniture/ Today they'll be open for business.
     Premarket takes place about a month before the spring and fall High Point Market and gives manufacturers and suppliers a chance to show new product prototypes in advance of the main shows.

     Building sponsors include 220 Elm and IMC Cos., the owner of the International Home Furnishings Center, Showplace, Market Square and related properties.
     According to organizers, the new fall Premarket days will be Sept. 13-14, a Thursday and Friday, instead of the usual Monday and Tuesday dates.
