MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Coast to Coast Imports has signed a licensing agreement with Andy Stein for a collection to be released this market.
Stein, who is CEO of the company, said the 50-piece collection features transitional and contemporary styles. It is named "Accents By Andy Stein."
Mat Marsh, president of Coast to Coast, said in a press release that Stein's collection creates the vision and inspiration that "dealers have been telling us they wanted."
"We are fortunate to have such a strong design team working with our fast growing company," Marsh said.
While Coast to Coast has released branded collections bearing Stein's name previously, this market's collection is the first formal licensing agreement Coast to Coast has made with Stein.
The company's showroom is located at IHFC C-754.
"There is great value in this collection. The extremely fast shipping times Coast to Coast offers made it very exciting for me to create looks to fit into their model," Stein said, in a press release.
The release added that Coast to Coast's Jadu Accents line, made in India and warehoused in Memphis, has been retailing well. The line features exotic woods including reclaimed railway ties, sheesham and mango woods. It features dining tables, media pieces, storage cabinets and occasional tables.
Stein said many suppliers of India goods typically only sell large furniture retailers on a direct basis only. Coast to Coast gives retailers the ability to order small quantities through its warehouse, he added.
Stein said that while product from India historically has had issues like long shipping times and unreliable product quality, reproducing Coast to Coast's China business model there has taken the risk out.
"Our customers know and trust us and (know) that they will get the product they ordered. Our model is warehousing the product so it is available every day to the furniture stores," Stein said.
