Lazzaro Leather to show expanding line in larger IHFC space

HIGH POINT — Leather upholstery resource Lazzaro Leather is moving to a larger showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center that will allow for better display of its rapidly expanding product line.

The new showroom, space H-1045, encompasses more than 10,000 square feet and is replacing two smaller IHFC showrooms the company had been using since it entered the U.S. market four years ago.

"The new space is a high-visibility central spot, with lots of traffic moving through the area," said Lauri Cryan, vice president of operations. "We also have more window exposure, which will provide another great way for us to attract attention."

Lazzaro is best known for its traditional styles, but Cryan said the company is introducing several transitional and contemporary models at market.

In addition, the company is expanding its line of tables, accent furniture and fashion accessories to include a rolling laptop computer table and a variety of steamer trunks.

Plus, she said Lazzaro will be showing iPad covers, leather handbags and related leather items that retailers can use as promotional items or giveaways.

"This market, we're looking to continue to build our brand with exciting new products and programs," Cryan said.

Lazzaro, which is owned by Chinese tannery Guangdong Sunton Leather Goods, recently moved its U.S. operations from Mebane, N.C., to a 70,000-square-foot office and warehouse in High Point.
