Standard Furniture names Denson White logistics VP

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 13, 2012

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Case goods manufacturer and importer Standard Furniture has promoted Denson White to the new position of vice president of logistics.

White's responsibilities include transportation planning, private fleet operations, warehousing and international shipping. He reports to Kerry Nickerson, chief financial officer.

White joined Standard in 2007 as director of transportation, managing strategic delivery and the company's private truck fleet. In 2009, he began managing international shipping.

Prior to joining the company, he had transportation and warehousing roles with Pittsburgh-based Plan4Demand, a supply chain planning consulting firm, and worked with Kohl's, Target, Snapple, Tastykake Bakeries and packaging solutions provider Pactiv.
