Sealy hires financial VP, Stearns & Foster brand director

ARCHDALE, N.C. — Sealy announced it has hired Mike Wojtaszek as vice president of financial planning and analysis, and Daniel Calderwood as brand director for Stearns & Foster.

Wojtaszek will oversee the financial analysis teams for business planning and operations, sales and marketing, the company said.

He worked for five years at Whirlpool, most recently as director of finance for North American manufacturing, where he was responsible for the financial management of 14 plants with sales of more than $8 billion.

"Mike will make a great addition to the financial analysis team and play a major role in continuing to deliver on our financial performance goals," said Larry Rogers, Sealy's CEO. "Mike's background in a wide variety of roles - from operations to marketing and promotional analysis - gives him a unique perspective in supporting programs that will deliver (return on investment) to the company and our shareholders."

Calderwood's role will involve managing the continued growth of the Stearns & Foster luxury brand.

He had worked for Kohler, most recently as product manager of commercial fixtures and water conserving products, overseeing product development, pricing and strategic planning for continued growth of the brand and increasing market share.

"Our latest Stearns & Foster platform, which launched six months ahead of schedule and broke sales records in the first quarter of 2012, was a huge success," said Rogers. "I look forward to continued Stearns & Foster success with Dan leading the charge."
Calderwood succeeds Brent Pfister, who has been named director for the Posturepedic brand.
