Mike Smith, longtime sales representative, dies at 65

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Mike Smith, an industry sales representative for more than 40 years, died June 17 in his hometown here. He was 65.
He was a representative in Tennessee, Alabama and the Florida panhandle, most recently for Wynwood and John Thomas and earlier for companies including SK Products and Master Design.
A recipient of many accolades and awards from the companies he represented, Smith treasured his relationships with his customers and others in the industry, his family said.
Survivors include his wife, Betsy, and son, Michael "Tic" Smith, both of whom continue to work as sales representatives, and two grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. July 7 at the Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga.
