Solei Home to debut in Las Vegas

PHOENIX — A new case goods resource will make its debut at the July 30-Aug. 3 Las Vegas Market, with a line of bedroom, dining room and home entertainment produced in Mexico.
Solei Home is run by managing partners Guillermo Barreto and Alejandro Macias. Barreto has spent most of the past 20 years distributing furniture from Mexico to the U.S. and Canada. Macias has been vice president of operations for retailer Del Sol Furniture in Phoenix since 2007.
The company will show a line of medium to high-end case goods featuring a mix of styles ranging from Southwestern to contemporary. Produced in a 300,000-square-foot factory in central Mexico, these pieces are made with solid wood as well as a mix of pine, oak and poplar veneers and feature dovetail construction on drawer fronts, floating panels and custom hardware designed in house.
The company initially plans to focus its distribution on the West Coast, and is building inventory to accommodate shipments from its Phoenix distribution facility. It is developing a quick ship program and also offers a direct truck load program.
The company said the launch is well timed due to favorable currency exchange rates, shorter shipping times and more stable freight rates from Mexico.
"We think it's a good time to look at Mexico for production," Barreto said in a statement. "There are a lot of drawbacks at the moment when importing from China, and buyers are tired of dealing with the delays and freight issues and are looking for better options. We feel Solei can help those customers."
The company will show its line in a 2,400-square-foot space in World Market Center B-130.
