Maureen McGuire leaves Furniture Brands International board

ST. LOUIS —- Furniture Brands International has announced that Maureen A. McGuire has resigned from the company to devote more time to other professional interests.
McGuire is chief marketing officer of Bloomberg LP. Furniture Brands said her decision to resign as director was not due to any disagreements with the company on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.
She has served on the board since 2008 and was a member of the human resources, governance and nominating committees. The company has not announced a replacement.
Furniture Brands is the parent company of brands including Broyhill, Drexel Heritage, Henredon, Hickory Chair, LaBarge, Lane, Lane Venture, Maitland-Smith, Pearson and Thomasville.
