Florida group to honor Hudson's Furniture leaders Aug. 9
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 12, 2012
SANFORD, Fla. — Joshua and Adam Hudson, twin brothers who are top executives at Hudson's Furniture here, will receive this year's Distinguished Retailer of the Year Award from the Florida Home Furnishings Representatives Assn. at a luncheon Thursday, Aug. 9.
The honorees were announced earlier but the luncheon date has only just been set. The event will be at the Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Josh Hudson is president of Hudson's Furniture and Adam Hudson is vice president. The retailer, which has stores in central Florida, went through a bankruptcy to restructure its real estate debt two years ago. FHFRA officials said the award recognizes the Hudsons' work with the company, and also recognizes them for creating an outlet concept, The Furniture Deal, that has successfully diversified their business.
Sponsorships are available for the luncheon at levels ranging from $150 to $500. Tickets to the event are $29 for members and $49 for non-members.
