Allegrezza to speak at TBG luncheon in Tupelo

HARRIMAN, Tenn. — Furniture/Today Editor-in-Chief Ray Allegrezza will offer an industry overview as guest speaker at TBG-The Buying Giant's luncheon during the August Tupelo Furniture Market.

The Aug. 16 lunch, open to members and prospective members of the member-owned buying group, will be in the meeting and dining area above the TBG showroom, space 3000 in Building III.

Vendors expected to show product in the TBG Space include American Made Silks, Brooks Furniture Mfg., Eagle Inds., H.Home, Holland House, Kidz World, Med Lift, Powell and Sleep-Ezz Beds.

The group's board will hold its semiannual dinner meeting Aug. 15 at the Tupelo Country Club. TBG Chairman Larry Stansell, owner of Stansell Furniture in Trion, Ga., will preside over the meeting and the election of directors and officers.

Directors will also evaluate the TBG-Mega Group USA alliance approved at TBG's February meeting that provided group health, property, casualty, vehicle and worker's compensation insurance for members.

A membership dinner meeting will follow Aug. 16 in the ballroom of the Tupelo Country Club, where members will hear about vendor specials and business reports as well as share market experiences, plan group market visits, and discuss TBG's direction.

TBG Executive Director Bethel Poston also will detail plans for a media marketing and operations seminar to be held Sept. 18-20 at the Radisson Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. Among other things, TBG is planning a field trip to the Grand Ole Opry to see entertainers Dirks Bentley and Kellie Pickler and a dinner cruise on the Cumberland River.
