All American Furniture Expo set for Sept. 6-7
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 23, 2012
LANCASTER, Pa. - The second annual All American Furniture Expo, which showcases domestic solid wood and upholstered furniture, will take place here Sept. 6-7.
The two-day show is held in the Lancaster County Convention Center, with 46,000 square feet of exhibit space. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the opening day and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 7.
The show will feature Amish and Mennonite manufacturers from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and elsewhere. Organizers anticipate more than 100 participating companies.
The show rides a wave of interest from consumers in American-made furniture and its folk craft heritage, a press release said. The items are often of heirloom quality that can be passed down through family generations, it added.
Styles range from primitive to transitional, Mission, modern, contemporary and urban.
From 2002 through 2010 the expo had been a part of the spring Keystone Wholesale Show in York, Pa. The All American Furniture Expo debuted as a separate trade show in 2011. Both shows are presented by Keystone Wholesale Markets.
"Our purpose has always been to help our neighbors in the plain community sell their American-made items to wholesale buyers," expo coordinator Wanda Esh Gregg said in a press release.
