Stroud named sales VP at Thomasville

ST LOUIS - Rick Stroud has been named vice president of sales for case goods and upholstery resource Thomasville Furniture, company parent Furniture Brands International said last week.
     He replaces Ellen Cipolla, who left Thomasville a few months ago for a similar role at Stein World.
     Stroud comes to the company from Hekman Furniture, where he was national sales manager. He also has held furniture sales management roles with Futura Leather, Progressive Furniture, Silver Furniture and Royal Patina. He also was president and owner of SOS Inc., a product sourcing company.
     In his new role, he reports to Ed Teplitz, president of Thomasville and Drexel Heritage. In addition to leading the Thomasville gallery sales organization, he will oversee management of all Thomasville retail gallery accounts.
     "We are pleased to add Rick to the Thomasville team," Teplitz said in a statement. "Rick's leadership skills and passion for the business, combined with the strength of the Thomasville brand, will be beneficial to us and to the retailers we serve."
