Deslee Textiles USA names former Sealy exec Craig Dunlop president

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 28, 2012

INMAN, S.C. — Deslee Textiles USA, a textile producer based here, has named former Sealy executive Craig Dunlop president.

Dunlop, who held a number of positions in the Sealy organization, including chief operating officer of Sealy Canada and president of Sealy in Europe, succeeds Bart Dehearne, who has left the industry.

"We are very pleased to have Craig on the Deslee Clama team, leading our operations in North America," said Hans Dewaele, co-CEO of the Deslee Clama Textiles Group, based in Belgium. "I have known Craig for years and his strong leadership skills, experience and knowledge of the industry both in North America and globally will clearly help us develop our business and brand."

Deslee Textiles USA has offices and production facilities here. Deslee Clama specializes in woven and knitted mattress ticking and interior fabrics.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Deslee Clama team and looking forward to developing a stronger business unit in North America," Dunlop said. "Deslee Clama is without doubt one of the premier textile producers in the world and with our strong history of product innovation and global capabilities, including manufacturing facilities in South Carolina and now in eight different countries, we are well positioned to grow."
