SEATTLE — Two more industry companies are on Inc. Magazine's 2012 Inc. 500/5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America, upholstery retailer Sleepers in Seattle and e-commerce company StrataShops.
Sleepers in Seattle, founded in 1991, ranked 2453 on the list, with a three-year growth rate of 99%. The company's 2011 revenues were $2.6 million, the magazine reported.
Sleepers in Seattle has a store in West Seattle and says it also has a thriving e-commerce presence.
"Receiving this award is an honor and a testament to our dedication to providing superior customer service both in our retail store and on our three company websites," said President Carlos Alcabes.
StrataShops, based in Elkhart, Ind., is the parent company of eight e-commerce furniture websites including WickerCentral.com and patio furniture site TheLivingQuarters.com. It ranks 326 on the Inc. list with a three-year growth rate of 1,155% and 2011 revenue of $3.5 million.
The company, led by founder and owner John Webber, said it attributes its growth to exceptional customer service, selling quality national brands and a strong team member atmosphere. It said it expects to achieve further growth in the fourth quarter with the addition of artificial Christmas tree website ChristmasEveTrees.com.
