SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. — Shine by S.H.O., a design firm established by designer Susan Hornbeak-Ortiz, has retained Concept Marketing Group to help it develop licensing opportunities in the home furnishings industry.

Shine by S.H.O. was formed in 2005 and has provided clients exclusive designs for furniture, lighting, accessories, decorative fabrics and area rugs. Hornbeak-Ortiz, creative director, defines her signature design aesthetic as Modern Couture, infusing modern design elements into traditional forms.

"Design and development have always been the strength of Shine," Hornbeak-Ortiz said in a statement. "Licensing allows us to expand our market presence with credible partners that recognize the power of our brand and design capabilities."

"Susan and her unique and marketable design aesthetic have been thrilling industry taste makers, the press, and consumers alike for many years," Kerry Glasser, president of Concept Marketing Group, said in a statement. "I believe that a program encompassing licensees who align with Susan's design aesthetic will provide the ultimate consumer with a viable and exciting design option, likely to change the landscape of the home furnishing industry."

Glasser will be at the Oct. 13-18 High Point Market to introduce the concept to potential licensees.
