Rooms To Go to grand open two stores in Virginia, North Carolina

SEFFNER, Fla. — Rooms To Go will grand open two new stores Saturday, including its first Virginia location.
The Top 100 company took the lease on the 80,000-square-foot former RoomStore on West Broad Street in Glen Allen, Va., in greater Richmond as well as the 40,000-square-foot former RoomStore on Skibo Road in Fayetteville, N.C.
Both stores will feature the company's full line of midpriced home furnishings, including its Cindy Crawford Home Collection. Both also have attached Rooms To Go Kids showrooms with its Disney and NFL lines and other merchandise.
RTG CEO Jeff Seaman said in press releases that the company was thrilled to be opening both stores, adding, "Our goal is to make furniture shopping easy and convenient for our guests by offering beautiful, well made and affordable furniture either by the room or by the piece."
Grand opening festivities include ribbon cuttings, prize drawings, children's activities and charity tie-ins. The retailer is donating a portion of opening-day sales to The Children's Museum of Richmond for the Virginia opening and to the Partnership for Children of Cumberland County in Fayetteville.
Seffner, Fla.-based Rooms To Go is No. 3 on Furniture/Today's survey of Top 100 U.S. Furniture Stores with estimated sales of $1.5 billion at 125 stores last year, up 6.4% from 2010.
