DALTON, Ga. - Shaw Living will introduce nine woven area rug styles and seven tufted styles designed to coordinate with the new HGTV Home Furniture Collection by Bassett at the fall High Point Market.
The rug designs will be added to the HGTV Home Flooring by Shaw Collection, introduced in 2011.
"Our team truly enjoyed the inspiration found in the collaboration of this project - the coordination of the HGTV Home furniture and area rugs will create a unique shopping and design opportunity for the consumer," said Kim Barta, brand manager at Shaw Living. "Depending on the furniture selected and the consumer's style, there will be several options in rugs that will tie back to the furnishings beautifully in bold as well as subdued styling."
Shaw said the nine woven rug designs, the Intrigue Collection, draw inspiration from Mediterranean cultures in a vibrant color palette.
The collection is machine-woven of Shaw's EverTouch nylon and features an ombré dyeing technique to impart superior color shading, the company said.
The Intrigue Collection features contemporary Mum, overlapping chevron and updated damask designs.
The seven new rugs machine-tufted with Anso nylon are in the Grandeur Collection. Designs include a zigzag pattern and one inspired by an animal print. All Grandeur Collection designs are available in the colorways Espresso, Honey, Chocolate Brown, Teal, Terra Cotta, Classic Tan, Taupe and Gray.
