Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 21, 2012

DANVILLE, Va. — Chinese contract furniture manufacturer GOK International is investing $12.5 million to establish offices and an assembly operation in southern Virginia, according to the company and local development officials.

Area Development, a site and facility planning website, reported that GOK International will have a sales office and headquarters in Danville and assembly and showroom operations in nearby Ringgold, Va. The company said it will start hiring next year and will employ about 300 people within three years.

GOK sells furniture in the office, hotel and institutional markets.
