Surya hosting designer events, Fall Ball in High Point showroom

HIGH POINT — Rug and home accessories source Surya will celebrate its introduction of hundreds of new products at this week's High Point Market with two designer events and a Fall Ball in its newly expanded showroom in Showplace, space 4100.

Surya kicks off its events at 2 p.m. Saturday with a Chat with Candice Olson, one of its licensed designers. and celebrates the unveiling of its fall collection on Sunday with the Fall Ball, starting at 4 p.m. and featuring a live DJ, dancing, masks, an open bar and a catered dinner. At 3 p.m. Monday is another designer event, with Mike Farrell.

Surya is offering more than 500 new rugs, pillow, poufs and wall art designs this market.

"We hope this party will set the tone for a very productive but fun market. We want to give everyone a break from their hectic appointment schedules and have a chance to just kick back and enjoy themselves," said company President Satya Tiwari.

Surya will offer a breakfast and lunch in its showroom each day during market, and hors d'oeuvres and cocktails each evening. The market runs Oct. 13-18.
