Orient Express nearly doubles size of High Point showroom

HIGH POINT — Orient Express Furniture has nearly doubled the size of its showroom here, International Home Furnishings Center C-303, to accommodate the company's growing inventory.

Designed by Anna Johnson, vice president of design and merchandising, and Whitney Savage, marketing manager, the space is modernized with fresh colors and new fixtures and flooring, the company said.

"Through colors, textures and eco-friendly materials, we were able to update and expand our space to more properly represent the fashion forward, trend setting brand that Orient Express is dedicated to delivering to its customers," said Johnson.

"Our newly expanded space offers us the ability to properly represent our 10 exciting and innovative collections in full gallery settings that show off the complete range of styles our brand offers, all of which are in stock in our quick ship warehouses on both coasts," she added.

Orient Express, which is based in California and also has a shipping facility in Virginia, is a source of transitional case goods from Asia, fabric and leather chairs that vary from traditional to contemporary, and wicker and reclaimed wood products.

The company is introducing several new collections here, including Urban in industrial modern style, clean-lined Lennox, the rustic Artisan Collection and the Home Collection's plush pillows.

The company will celebrate the new space with a champagne cocktail hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
