Theodore Alexander hires customer exec

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam - High-end manufacturer Theodore Alexander has named media executive John Clapham to the newly created post of customer experience executive, with responsibility for the company's dedicated customer service team.
Clapham will be based at the company's new 10,000-square-foot factory showroom outside Ho Chi Minh City and reports to David Parker, vice president of international sales, and Ed Carey, president of the company's Vietnam operations.
A newcomer to the furniture industry, Clapham has 20 years of public relations and sales experience, most recently as managing director for television content distributor McCartney Communications. He is also a former journalist who has reported extensively from Asia.
He will have responsibility for showcasing the diversity, quality and heritage of Theodore Alexander furniture, lighting and upholstery at the new facility, according to the company. He will also undertake sales and training missions in the company's key Southeast Asia territories.
