Peltier in VP post at Stein World

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Accent furniture specialist Stein World has named Jim Peltier vice president of strategic accounts and direct imports.
He comes to the company from Lane Furniture, where he was a territory sales manager. He also was a store manager for Lippman's Furniture in Peoria, Ill., and a store manager for Gutsell & Associates in Chicago.
Peltier reports to Jack Johnson, senior vice president of sales and marketing. He will be responsible for handling key accounts and direct import business and will also oversee the development of new channels of distribution.
"Jim is an award-winning sales professional with a skill set few people in our industry have," said Jack Johnson, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Stein World. "He understands every angle of the business - from production to sell through - and has an impressive record of success. His retail experience is invaluable, and I know he will be an asset to our sales force."
