Oscar Brewster Gough, industry executive

TUPELO, Miss. - Oscar Brewster Gough, a furniture manufacturing executive for more than 30 years, has died at age 82.
     After high school, Gough joined the Air Force and was stationed in Garmish, Germany. After his stint in the service, he attended Southern Mississippi University, graduating in 1955.
     He got his start in the furniture business in 1967 when he joined Harvey Chair Co. as a sales manager. Gough went on to become president and owner of Consolidated Sales in the 1970s, Global Furniture in the 1980s and then Keystone Furniture. He retired in 2002.
     Gough was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church here and an avid golfer.
     He is survived by a daughter; two sons, including Phillip, a sales representative for Washington Furniture; two grandsons and two granddaughters.
     Memorial donations may be made to the Martin House of Traceway Retirement Community, 2800 W. Main St., Tupelo, Miss. 38801.
