Mor Furniture for Less sponsors benefit for St. Jude

SAN DIEGO — Mor Furniture for Less again is a sponsor of The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, an annual community service project benefiting the children fighting cancer and other life-threatening diseases at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A newly built home and other prizes will be given away at the end of the promotion on Nov. 11. Mor is offering a $10,000 shopping spree prize.

The 27-store San Diego-based Top 100 company has been a sponsor of the event for four years.

"Mor Furniture does a beautiful job staging the house so that it feels like a home, helping us increase our fundraising success," said Odette Gutierrez, senior event marketing representative for the hospital. "Last year's home raised $1 million for kids fighting cancer and other deadly diseases and our hopes are that we raise another million this year to give hope to kids fighting for their lives."

The four-bedroom, two-bath Dream Home is in the Chestnut Grove community in northeast Fresno, Calif. Visitors who toured the home during open house events leading up to the giveaway were registered for a chance to win the $10,000 shopping spree from Mor.

A limited number of $100 tickets are available for a chance to win the home or any of the other 19 prizes.
