Tabeek
SAN DIEGO - Case goods manufacturer and importer Martin Home Furnishings has promoted Paul Tabeek to vice president of sales and marketing.
Tabeek was serving as interim vice president of sales and marketing until last week. He reports to owner and CEO Gil Martin.
Tabeek's roles include developing sales and marketing strategies for the company's two brands, Kathy Ireland Home by Martin and Martin Home Furnishings. Martin officials said he played a big role in the company's success at the October High Point Market.
"(It) not only allowed us to present new introductions that were very well received, it also showed me that Paul has a good understanding of what our sales team needs to succeed. He definitely represents our product and our company in a very professional manner," Gil Martin said in a press release.
Tabeek has been with Martin for six years and earlier was channel development manager. He replaces David King.
Before joining Martin, Tabeek was a field sales representative for Bell Microproducts, a distributor of computer components, and spent 15 years in the industrial electronics industry.
