Raymond
MARTINSVILLE, Va. - Longtime industry consultant Art Raymond, who for the past three years has been senior vice president-case goods operations at Hooker Furniture, will leave the company on Jan. 31.
The date marks the end of Raymond's employment agreement with the company. He joined Hooker in 2010.
Raymond is expected to resume a consulting role with Hooker, among other consulting projects. At Hooker, he has been responsible for oversight of wood furniture corporate operations, including forecasting, supply chain management, warehousing, distribution and product quality.
Those duties will be assigned to various senior managers in the company who will report to Paul Toms Jr., chairman and CEO.
"As we had hoped when we brought Art on board, he has successfully groomed the next generation of operations leaders, led our transition to a new sourcing footprint in Asia, and greatly improved our forecasting, logistics and supply chain operations. We are forever grateful for his selfless contributions," Toms said in a press release.
