Theodore Alexander names Wang country manager-China

WangHO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam - High-end case goods and upholstery manufacturer Theodore Alexander has named Sophie Wang as country manager-China.
     Most recently, Wang was marketing director for a Shanghai-based design center. The company said she has extensive experience in the Chinese home furnishings market.
     She will work with Theodore Alexander's exclusive distributor in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to enhance awareness and sales of the brand, officials said. She will also provide training to ensure that its products are marketed and merchandised with the brand's luxury position in mind.
     She is based in Shanghai and reports to Harvey Dondero, CEO of Theodore Alexander.
     The China country manager position was most recently held by Werner Freundel, who is being promoted to an expanded role of merchandising director.
     Freundel will return to the company's headquarters in Vietnam and will oversee line management and all aspects of merchandising across the company's case goods, upholstery and accessory categories. He will report to Dondero.
