S&F donating mattresses to Salvation Army

ARCHDALE, N.C. - High end bedding brand Stearns & Foster has renewed its commitment to The Salvation Army with its 2012 Gift of Sleep program.
Now in its third year, the program, which calls attention to the many Americans who don't have a place to sleep this holiday season, will deliver up to $1 million in new mattresses to Salvation Army residential shelters, for a total three-year donation valued up to $3 million, officials said.
"The Stearns & Foster brand has had a wonderful history of philanthropy, and that legacy continues with our ongoing partnership with The Salvation Army," said Jodi Allen, chief marketing officer at Sealy, Stearns & Foster's parent company. "The contributions made to this program in previous years extend beyond the holiday season and have helped families who have fallen on hard times get back on their feet."
From Nov. 20 through Jan.a11, for every Stearns & Fostera mattress sold by participating retailers, the company will a donate a $100 equivalent in a new mattresses.
