Joe Mussallem joins Chateau d'Ax in special accounts role

HIGH POINT — Former Natuzzi executive Joe Mussallem has been named special accounts manager for leather upholstery producer Chateau d'Ax.

In the newly created post, Mussallem will oversee a variety of retail accounts in North America.

He previously spent 20 years with Natuzzi, most recently as president of Natuzzi Americas. Earlier, he was the company's senior vice president of sales and marketing.

"We are proud to add Joe Mussallem to our organization," said Harry Cierler, director of North American operations for Chateau d'Ax. "Along with Joe Filloy, national sales manager, we are building for the future. Mussallem adds another dimension to our selling team and we wanted to capitalize on his experience and reputation in the furniture business to move our company forward."

Mussallem, who will remain based in High Point, said the new position "provided the best situation for both the short term and most importantly, the long term."

"I have learned a great deal already, and am very excited for the future of our company," he added.
