GREENSBORO, N.C. - SunBelt Furniture Xpress has opened a customer service and sales office here to support its fast-growing home delivery service.
     The Hickory, N.C.-based specialized furniture carrier said the home delivery service, known as SunBelt Direct, features three levels of service that are topped by full white-glove delivery and setup of the furniture.
     "We have been very pleased with the growth of Sun- Belt Direct and this investment and expansion is much needed as we increase our value-added service offerings to the home furnishings industry," said Stan Froneberger, vice president of sales and marketing.
     Froneberger said the Greensboro site also will serve as a base for the company's full truckload business, which has a number of customers in the Greensboro area.
     SunBelt serves 33 states and has cross-docking and fleet operations in Hickory, Dallas and Fontana, Calif. Other facilities are in Martinsville, Va., and Jasper, Ind.
