Surya moves into larger AmericasMart showroom

CALHOUN, Ga. - Surya is moving to a new 13,500-square-foot showroom in Atlanta's AmericasMart, which it says will double the brand's square footage at next month's rug and home accessories market.
     "We're excited about this expansion. The larger space on the home accessory geared 11th floor (showroom 11-A-1) will allow us to showcase a complete range of Surya's lifestyle products in a more convenient location," said Surya President Satya Tiwari.
     Surya officials said the company is on an aggressive growth track to expand its reach over the next five years, and that the Atlanta move follows its spring 2012 move into a 26,000-square-foot High Point flagship location at Showplace 4100, as well as expansion into smaller regional shows such as the Tupelo Furniture Market.
     The company said its product breadth has also evolved in recent years to become a complete home accessories solution for retailers - with the addition of pillows, throws, poufs and wall art to coordinate with the brand's expansive line of area rugs.

     The new space will open its doors for the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, Jan. 9-16.
