Safavieh opens second showroom at Atlanta's AmericasMart

ATLANTA — Safavieh opened a second permanent showroom at AmericasMart here that allowed it to present lifestyle home furnishings with area rugs.

Company officials said its customers are looking to Safavieh for total home products and want to merchandise the brand the way consumers design rooms. Both showrooms were open during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market earlier this month.

"Retail needs are changing, and buyers are now responsible for multiple product categories. We have become a cross-category manufacturer to meet the needs of our customers and our showroom space will reflect that," Cyrus Yaraghi, principal of Safavieh, said in a press release.

The new 3,000-foot showroom is in Building 1, in space 5-C-1, across the aisle from Safavieh's existing 13,000-square-foot showroom in 5-A-2 for hand-knotted, hand-tufted and machine-made rugs.

The new space will highlight accent furniture, lighting and decorative pillows, and new categories including wall art, mirrors, barware, garden stools and outdoor furniture.
