LOS ANGELES — Furniture and rugs and bedding resource Classic Concepts has hired Rupal Mamtani as senior accounts manager, a new position.
She was a former owner and executive with Bluefish Home, a furniture and accessories manufacturer and importer that sold its assets to Four Hands in May 2010. Bluefish also had a retail store called Global Concepts, which Mamtani operated during her last two years with the company.
At Classic Concepts she reports to Thomas Andonian, general manager of the company's Classic Home brand of home furnishings. She will be based at the company's Atlanta showroom and represent key accounts in mid-Atlantic states, the company said.
Andonian said in a statement that Mamtani "has over 15 years experience in retail, wholesale, sales, purchasing and product development. Basically, she understands the business from every perspective, which makes her an amazingly qualified account manager."
Classic Concepts runs its own factories in India that produce sustainable, eco-friendly solid wood furniture, rugs, decorative pillows and bedding. The goods are warehoused primarily in a 130,000-square-foot warehouse near Los Angeles. In addition to Atlanta and Los Angeles, the company has showrooms in Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas and High Point.
