Rob Culp joins Leggett & Platt board

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Rob Culp, chairman of fabric supplier Culp Inc. since 1990, has been elected to the board of directors of Leggett & Platt.
The company said Culp, 66, will serve on the board's audit committee as well as the nominating and corporate governance committee.
In addition to serving on the board of directors of Culp Inc., Culp has been a director at Old Dominion Freight Lines since 2003 and has been that board's lead independent director since 2010. Earlier, he was a director at Stanley Furniture.
Separately, Leggett & Platt said Maurice Purnell Jr., a retired securities lawyer who has been a director since 1988, will retire from the board at the company's annual meeting in May.
