Lady Americana hires Bob Simpton as executive vice president

OKLAHOMA CITY — Top 15 bedding producer Lady Americana has hired mattress industry veteran Bob Simpton as executive vice president, a new position.

Simpton brings more than 45 years of retail, manufacturing and sales management experience in the mattress industry to Lady Americana. He started his career buying mattresses for Emporium Capwell Department Store in San Francisco, and then held posts at Serta, Spring Air and Five Star before joining Lady Americana.

"Bob brings a unique blend of retailing, manufacturing, marketing and innovative talent that will benefit the Lady Americana group," said Kerry Tramel, president of Lady Americana.

Simpton will work with current Lady Americana factories to grow their market share and improve their profitability. He will also be responsible for expanding the presence of the group nationwide, Tramel said.
