Classic Home showing new gallery concept

Thomas Russell -- Furniture Today, January 29, 2013

LAS VEGAS - Furniture, rug and home textile specialist Classic Home is showing a new in-store gallery concept for each of its key product categories at this week's Las Vegas Market.
The company said the programs, which were first seen at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market earlier this month, are meant to better showcase the products at retail. They also are meant to help boost sales of proven best-sellers.
The Classic Home Boutique program offers three displays ranging from 500 to 1,500 square feet. Called Silver, Gold and Platinum Boutiques, they allow the retailer to pick from 1,000 SKUs in the line, which can be seen on the company's website, www.classichomefurnishings.com.
"Our furniture line sells best when it is shown as a lifestyle," said Thomas Andonian, general manager of Classic Home. "Bringing in only a couple of pieces doesn't do it. Our most successful dealers floor a lot of our top sellers and make a statement. Their stores look fresh and exciting. We want to help all of our dealers beautify their boutique and create ‘wow' in their stores, and this is a simple way to do that."
Based on their commitment levels to the Boutique program, retailers also can receive discounts.
The Villa Pillow Rack program offers six display options. Each includes a choice of 30 pillows, which have been preselected to show well together. The Santa Maria wood and metal display rack is made by Classic Home of reclaimed hardwoods.
"We have acted on what we have learned," said Jaynie Barrientos, general manager of the Villa Home Collection. "Displaying the pillows in this stylish fashion has an impact and attraction for our retailers and end consumer."
The Classic Home Rug Rack program, also designed and manufactured by Classic Home, is a metal display unit that includes a Natural Fiber Rack and a Shag and Wool Rack. Each can hold from 10 to 28 rugs of various sizes in a 23-square-foot footprint.
The company is showcasing the displays along with other new and existing product in World Market Center C-309.

Furniture Marketing Group Symposium draws 200 to Las Vegas

Throughout Furniture Marketing Group's 2013 Symposium here, one theme was driven home time and again: The days of sitting back and watching the traffic rush into your store are gone. Retailers need to lift their game, becoming that competitor they dread, and pull out all the stops when it comes to engaging their customers.
