Mac Motion expands showroom, moves warehouse

LAS VEGAS - Mac Motion Chairs, a resource for contemporary recliners, glider rockers and home theater seating, is expanding its showroom for this week's Las Vegas Market and has relocated its East Coast warehouse.
The new showroom in World Market Center spaces A-1038 and A-1040 allows the company to keep its high-profile location between Buildings A and B, while increasing the number of products that can be displayed, said Butch McCracken, the company's CEO.
"Our efforts in expanding our core assortment of product, specifically in our Oslo brand, have precipitated a need to increase our show presence in Las Vegas," Mc- Cracken said.
The new warehousing facility in Hickory, N.C., will allow the company stock its entire quick-ship program and make those items available for 72-hour delivery with competitive freight rates, said Mark Price, national sales director.
The company will begin shipping from the new warehouse in Hickory in February, Price said.
"The efforts to expand the product offering, increase the show space at the World Market Center, and develop a new shipping strategy were all put into development at the same time," Price said.
"The opportunity to launch them in a nearly simultaneous fashion was a planned implementation to show Mac Motion's commitment to being the ‘go to' supplier in this growing category."
