WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. — Christopher Schall has been named vice president of retail sales for Crypton, a performance fabric supplier. Crypton officials said that the newly created position is a response to increased consumer demand for performance fabrics.

"Chris has been involved with Crypton products for several years, even prior to joining us," said company President Randy Rubin. "With his extraordinary background in education and sales training, along with his extensive retail sales experience, he will be able to meet the demands for expanded education on Crypton Home products and their extension products at retail."

Schall previously managed a national sales team for Guardian Innovative Solutions. While there, he co-developed dreamGuard, a product line including bedding and pillows protected from damage under warranty, used by Top 100 furniture and mattress retailers.

"With dreamGuard, and during my tenure with Guardian Innovative Solutions, Crypton textile applications served as a centerpiece in the marketing of those product lines," Schall said. "I am looking forward to extending my passion for Crypton products in my new role."

"Crypton looks and feels like any other luxury fabric, but it has the performance attributes of no other," Rubin said. "Chris will be educating people as to why Crypton is the better option at retail."
